About Us

FUEL the CURE's mission is to motivate individuals to take action and cultivate a lifestyle of heightened social consciousness and charitable giving. For me, and other members of the organization, the motivation to help others stemmed from the loss of a loved one, however many members of the team spread the FUEL the CURE mission simply because they believe in its cause. Our organization was built on two primary principles: 1. We can all use our resources (notably time, skills sets, networks, energy and money) more constructively, and 2. Fun and philanthropy can compliment each other.

To achieve our mission, we organize volunteering and fundraising events that maximize our social contribution while also making the participation in these events enjoyable for everyone involved. As of November 2011, we have carried out numerous volunteering activities and donated over $208,000 to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation, Breastcancer.org, The Make-A-Wish Foundation, and St. Damien Hospital.
